The former Ranger soaked in the Madison Square Garden atmosphere as the opposition for the first time, but it was Ducks who stole the show with a 4-1 victory.
With their 4-1 defeat to the Ducks on Monday, the Rangers have now lost 12 of 16 games at Madison Square Garden this season.
The Ducks (20-12-1) end their five-game road trip with a visit to Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets (13-13-6). Puck drop is set for 4 p.m. PT and will air on Victory+ and KCOP-13.
A lot to take in there, to be sure. But in short, the Ducks have the pieces to, at minimum, be one of the most entertaining teams to watch this season.

The Anaheim Ducks lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets by a final score of 4-3 in overtime. After a resounding and emotional win against the Rangers, the Ducks entered the game against the Blue Jackets on the back half of back-to-backs.
Matthew Robertson scored and Igor Shesterkin made 22 saves for the Rangers (16-14-4), who had a four-game home point streak end (2-0-2). They fell to 4-9-3 at home and were held to one goal or less for the ninth time in 16 home games. Gauthier gave the Ducks a 2-1 lead at 5:51 of the third period, scoring at the end of a Ducks power play.
