The Saints have completed an interview with interim head coach Darren Rizzi, the team announced. Rizzi also has interviewed with the Jets. The Saints also have completed interviews with Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka and Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver.

The New Orleans Saints completed an interview with Darren Rizzi for their head coach position. The interview was done in person. Rizzi served as the Saints' interim head coach for the final eight games of the 2024 season. Rizzi took over for Dennia Allen, who was fired on Nov. 4. Rizzi led the Saints to a 3-5 record to close out the season.
