BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — Police are investigating an early morning armed burglary at a Brooklyn Park residence. The victim told police he invited the suspect, described only as a male, into their residence off North Louisana and 75th avenues at about 3:15 a.m.
Anwar Hussein Mohamed was charged with second-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of his friend, Nebil Ahmed Omer.
According to an alert from the Brooklyn Park Police Department, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a home on the 7500 block of Louisiana Avenue North just after 3:30 a.m. At the scene, a victim stated that they had been robbed and threatened with a knife by a male they had invited into the home.
The warrant was part of an ongoing domestic violence investigation, in which investigators suspected the man was in possession of a known hazardous substance.
