The Rangers returned to full strength in their 3-2 overtime loss to the Avalanche on Tuesday night at Ball Arena.

But coach Peter Laviolette wasn't ready or willing to confirm if either player would be in the lineup on Tuesday night.

Both Chris Kreider and Filip Chytil are traveling with the New York Rangers on their upcoming road trip according to Arthur Staple of The Athletic. Kreider was placed on injured reserve with an apparent upper-body injury that has kept him out of the lineup for the past three games.

The Rangers had already taken an injury hit hours before their overtime loss to the Stars on Tuesday when Chris Kreider landed on injured reserve, retroactive to Sunday, with an upper-body injury. But their lineup situation worsened when center Filip Chytil exited with an upper-body injury against Dallas and didn’t return.

Filip Chytil said his most recent injury isn't a concussion and he may return for the New York Rangers against the Colorado Avalanche.

Artemi Panarin had two goals, including an empty-netter, as the Rangers (4-0-2) extended their point streak to six games.

Larry Brooks wrote that the Rangers should not be in the player acquisition mode to try and make a run. Instead, New York would be best served to deal UFAs to replenish the pick population they dealt to make two ECF runs.
